DEBONAIR PRAISE: THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Last January 19, 2008 at St. Andrew’s School of Parañaque “The Battle of the Bands” was held.
The thme for this year’s contest was “Spiritual Life of Youth Today”. Several groups of students to compete from the Diocese of Parañaque came to represent their school in this captivating event. All the participants had played two songs each – the first one is eminent and at the same time religious, “Shout for Joy” which every contestant was required to perform and finally, the song of their choice. Our band, D’Vicinity, chose the song “Ballad of My Own Heart” which was their winning piece. It was one heck of a competition; it was music at its finest. The drum rolls and the high-pitched timbre of the guitars altogether with the exemplary voice of the vocalist made music a splendid treat.
